Today I am talking about our home renovation project in Hillcrest, Northshore, which has been recently finished.
This house is at 2/263 Glenfield Road Hillcrest and on sale at the moment. I think this property is suitable for a young family with small kids.

The Original Condition
This house was in originally not good condition….
Everything looks old and worn.
Obviously the interior as well as exterior requires lots of maintenance.
The exterior wall has lots of marks and some parts of paint came off.
Roof also requires some check and maintenance.
Interior decoration also requires much of work.
Wall, ceiling, floor, kitchen and bathroom also need renovation.

The Project
Japan Homes took 6 weeks to finish the whole house renovation and we added our taste to it. Lets quickly go through what we have done.
Lounge & Dinning
We have re-decorated this space with country-modern taste. The wall, window frame and ceiling is re-painted fresh white. Carpet was taken off and the existing high-quality timber floor is polished. We have also newly decorated the fireplace with the tiles and Macrocarpa small benchtop.
Everything looks so fresh that the atmosphere has been completely changed!!
Kitchen
Kitchen is the heart of a home so we spent lots of work on it. We removed everything from the original kitchen space including the wall between the kitchen and lounge to make an open plan.
We again the design reflects our country-modern taste. The morning counter serves as multi-functional space for cooking, eating, chatting, reading, writing, using a computer, etc.
Bedroom
Very neat, comfortable and fresh!!
Bathroom
We remodeled the whole bathroom; we have installed a new large shower box, toilet, the Macrocarpa benchtop. As Japanese we love to use solid timber wherever possible. Polishing the original timber floor matches with our taste.
Exterior
The exterior wall has been all repaired and re-painted.
We had a roof maintenance specialist check everything, clean and re-coat the roof which not looks completely new with 10 years guarantee.
We have built a large deck adjacent to the building which functions as multi-purpose space.
The original garage has been also renovated and looks new now.
