I recently participated in a study meeting of MASTER BUILDER held at ALEXANDRA PARK.
The NZ government has changed, but the problem of housing shortage still remains and a question was raised on how to solve this problem in the future.
The issues include:
Land availability for housing development
Finance for home buyers
Processing Council Consent Applications (too slow)
Infrastructure For Housing Development
Skill shortage
In order to deal with these issues the government supports “Kiwibuild” programme which aims to enhance:
Skill training
Immigration
Recruiting
Finance support for home buyers
We Japan Homes also would do something to improve the current housing situation.
By the way, the number of applications for building consent has increased by 75% over the past five years. Also, among them, the terrace house has tripled.
As there are lots of needs in small and functional homes like Asia, Japan Homes can also contribute to Auckland society by providing these kinds of terrace housing.

政権は変わったが、住宅への問題はそのまま残っていて今後どのようにすべきかを問題提起していた。
オークランド近郊で開発土地の開放が足りない
銀行融資体制について
AUCKLAND UNITARY PLANなどで規制を緩くはしているが、認可の遅さや複雑さの問題
公共上下水道、電気、電話、道路などのインフラストラクチャー問題
今後の予想では、2018年-2022年にかけて56000人のskilled peopleが必要

ビルディングコンセントの申請数が過去5年で75％UPしたとのこと。 また、その中でも、テラスハウスは3倍になったとのこと。
