Hello Readers,
Japan Homes At Japan Day Yesterday Japan Home with our own booth joined Japan Day, the biggest Japanese Cultural Event in New Zealand held annualy in Auckland. We are happy people who love festivals, parties and any other exiting events so of course we joined, welcoming all visitors and enjoyed as much as we could!!
Even though it was raining heavily in the afternoon many Japanese Culture lovers visited the venue at Queens Wharf; we met lots of them!! Thanks for visiting us.
At our booth several people consulted with us about their home projects such as building new home, renovation and extension. One family from Northshore told that they would like to build the Japanese Style bathroom (typically the fully-waterproofed washing space with a bathtub beside it: see the below photo) as part of their renovation project.
Another builder company is already in charge of the entire project but the family knows how good is the Japanese bath and asked if we could do. Yes!! Of course we can!! Actually we have built many JP baths around auckland for years, and for us it is not difficult. We promissed to give them a quote.
Japan Day
Japan Day has lots of different booths and events showing Japanese culture including Tea Ceremony／Kimono Trial／Taiko Drums / Martial Arts／Ikebana／Bonsai / Origami／Shogi / Calligraphy／Anime／J-pop／Cosplay / Rice Cake Pounding／Special Guests／Lots of Stalls.
I have seen many young people in cosplay and they look gorgeous and beutiful!!
Even there was a ‘Maid Cafe’ exhibition!! (Gosh!! I kinda missed those in Tokyo!!)
Also there are lots of Japanese anime culture exhibitions by local people.
These quality is excellent!!
Because I am from Tokyo, and used to live close to ‘Akiba’, the world biggest centre of Japanese Animation/Cartoon culture (whole town is filled with Anime/cartoon shops) I had a similar feeling when I was in Akiba.
Every year this event gets greater and more exciting than previous year.
If you did not come to Japan Day this year please come next year.
