I would like to share with you a few words that I think architectural designers should keep in mind when designing.
Quote From Louis Kahn
One the greatest architects in the 20th century, Louis Kahn says that:
A great building must begin with the unmeasurable, must go through measurable means when it is being designed and in the end must be unmeasurable.
This is the saying that I like and summarises the way to design good buildings.
My Words for Design
As a designer I also have a few words that describe the way of designing.
Landscape and materials – I want them to decide what they want to become themselves. I believe that they know well how to make themselves beautiful and functional.
Also,
Do not think about structure, cost, function, landscape and design separately. For me, everything is in one.
And the last,
The next project will be my best work.
Architecture has huge potential to affect people’s life.
I strive to deliver the best design possible for the better life of our clients.

みなさん、クリスマスはいかがお過ごしでしょうか？ 今回は、私が考える、建築設計に関するいくつかの非常に重要な言葉をご紹介したいと思います。
ルイス・カーンの名言
20世紀の最も偉大な建築家の一人であるルイス・カーンは以下のような名言を残しました。
建築は計りしれないものから始まり、デザインされるときには、計りうる方法を検討され、そして完成するときには、ふたたび計り知れないものにたどりつかなくてはならない。
この言葉は私の非常に好きな言葉で、良い設計とは何かという事を端的に表しています。
私の設計に関する考え方
ルイス・カーンにならって、私も設計に関して非常に重要だと考えていることを、ご紹介させて頂きます。
まず、
地形、景色、素材が、自分たちがいる場所で、どんな姿になりたいか、それを彼ら自身に決めてほしい。彼らは自分がどうやったら美しくかつ機能的になれるかよく知っています。
さらに、
建築、費用、機能、景観設計をわけて考えてはいけない。私にとってそれはひとつのことです。
最後に
次の建築が人生最高の作品だ！！
建築は人々の生活に大きな影響を与える可能性があります。 お客さんのより良い生活のために、これからも可能な限り最高のデザインを提供出来るように、楽しくコツコツと取り組んで行きます。
